Hi,
if a build has been started by the cctray tool the environment variable CCNetRequestSource contains the user name who has started the build.
But if the build has been started on the web dashboard it just contains "Dashboard".
If the dashboard has some sort of authentication it should also be possible to provide an user name if the build has been started on the web dashboard.
The access to our build server for example is restricted by "Integrated Windows authentication".
